MAN B&W Extends MC Program

In order to meet the demands for more powerful engines, specifically in the container vessel arena, MAN B&W has added an L60MC-C and an L70MC-C compact engine to its program.

On the basis of the S-MC-C platform engines, both series will boast compact versions of the existing L60MC and L70MC, and with increased output obtained by raising the mean effective pressure to 19 bar.

This brings MAN's engine program to a total of 27 engine types covering any power requirement for marine propulsion from 1,500 bhp to 93,000 bhp.
