TSA & USCG – TWIC guides

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the US Coast Guard jointly published guides relating to the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) program. The Guide for Applicants tries to lay out in non-regulatory language exactly what an individual is expected to do in order to apply for, obtain, and utilize a TWIC. The Guide for Owners and Operators tries to explain requirements of the program as they apply to owners and operators of US vessels and marine facilities. Roll-out of the program may commence as early as October. I know that we have heard this previously, but the program is getting closer to an official debut. (HK Law).
