The continuing introduction of Hatteland Display's redesigned Series 1 family received another boost in December with several models receiving type approval certification from Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK).

The new Class NK, and other pending type approvals for Series 1 redesign products, will ensure the certification of Hatteland Display's new generation of marine displays and computers matches the last generation Series 1.

The new Series 1 displays consists 15", 19", 20", 23" and 27" products, which have been redesigned with the same form and fit to ensure an exact replacement for previous generation Series 1 displays. This enables system integrators to take advantage of the many current and future benefits offered by the new Series 1 without redesigning systems and consoles to install the new displays.

The redesigned Series 1 offers vastly improved connectivity via the new Hatteland Multifunction Connector, which allows various signal types, such as Composite Video Input, S-VHS Video Input and Serial Communication to be accessed through this single connector. Additionally, more signal input/outputs for customized solutions can be offered on request. Hatteland Display has also integrated an Embedded Video Controller X-tended, enabling users to utilize more signals than before. Other connections include RGB in and out, IEC outlet, 2 x COM ports and USB connection. The new Series 1 displays benefit from new, easier to use IP66 rated controls and are IEC60945 tested.
