CPI to Showcase New Inflatable RIB Collars

CPI Marine, a U.S. supplier of inflatable and foam collars for rigid-hull inflatable boats (RIBs), is introducing its new range of products for the international marine market at Seawork International 2013 in Southampton, U.K., June 25-27.

The product range on display will include CPI Marine’s patented air bladder systems as well as traditional tubes with multiple air chambers separated by interior baffles.

“CPI Marine is the only RIB collar manufacturer offering tubes with internal air bladders,” said Bill Clark, Director of Inflatable Technologies, CPI Marine. “With this patented system, each chamber has its own removable, repairable and replaceable air bladder. The bladder design allows for quick, easy and inexpensive repairs in the event of a puncture to the outer tube. It can be deflated and extracted from the tube and replaced by a new one in less than half an hour without pulling the boat out of the water.”

All CPI Marine collars are made with 100% 40 oz./sq. yd. (1356 g/sq. cm.) polyurethane fabric, which is tougher, stronger and more durable than Hypalon or PVC fabrics. Polyurethane provides superior resistance to UV breakdown, abrasion punctures and tears. All seams, corners and joints are taped and hot welded using the same polyurethane material as the collar fabric for a perfect color match.

CPI Marine makes all of its collars to rigorous manufacturing and quality processes. Products can be custom designed to meet each boatbuilder’s requirements using a state-of-the-art CAD/CAM system. All collars are pressure tested for at least 24 hours prior to delivery to ensure no pressure loss. They come with a one-year parts and fabric warranty.
