Inland Marine Service Appoints New Leadership

Four corporate professionals have recently joined Inland Marine Service (IMS), announced Dave Hammond, President of Inland Marine Service.

 
The new hires are Kristina Luna, HR Manager; Moses Garza, Tankerman Supervisor; Caleb King, Manager SHEQ/Compliance Director; and Brian Howell, Assistant Port Engineer.
 
Reporting to Jason Adams, Luna will be based out of the Hebron office and will be responsible for all of the company’s human relations needs. Luna has 20 years of experience in employee management, human resources, event planning, marketing, and sales. She was most recently Human Resource Specialist for Toyota, where she was responsible for recruitment, performance management, payroll and benefits in nine separate manufacturing facilities.
 
Garza will be based out of the Houston office and will be responsible for oversight of the tankering division, regulating safety and compliance. With almost two decades of experience in the maritime industry, Garza was most recently Barge Operations Manager/Tankerman Service for Martin Marine. Other companies he has worked at include Solute Chocolate Bayou, BASF-Freeport Texas and Kirby Inland Marine.
 
Reporting to Jason Adams, King will be based out of the Paducah office and will be responsible for safety, health and environmental quality at IMS. With over 20 years of experience in the maritime industry, King was most recently Senior Compliance Consultant for Witt O’Brien’s where he was the prominent point of contact in the Midwest, consulting in various Coast Guard, OSHA and EPA regulatory aspects. Prior to his time at Witt O’Brien’s, he worked at Marquette Transportation Company, Ingram Barge Company, ANR Advance Transportation Company and Schenker International Incorporated. King also served as Chief Warrant Officer in the U.S. Coast Guard.
 
Reporting to Dewayne Giltner, Howell will be based out of the Paducah office and will be responsible for everyday duties, responsibilities and maintenance of all vessels. Howell has 11 plus years in the marine industry, including six years as an ACL Engineer, five years as a Lead Diesel Mechanic at MSI and has also attended EMD School.
