Ardmore Shipping Makes Leadership Changes

Ardmore Shipping has announced a series of leadership changes and updates to its commercial organization following news of the upcoming retirement of Founder and CEO, Anthony Gurnee, and the appointment of Gernot Ruppelt and Bart Kelleher to CEO and President roles respectively.Effective September 16, 2024, Robert Gaina will join the Ardmore Senior Management Team (SMT) as Senior Vice President, Commercial, succeeding the current CCO, Gernot Ruppelt upon his advancement to CEO.

Gernot Ruppelt to Take Over as Ardmore Shipping CEO

Product and chemical tanker shipping company Ardmore Shipping Corporation on Monday announced that its current senior vice president and chief commercial officer Gernot Ruppelt will succeed company founder Anthony Gurnee as CEO.Gurnee will retire on September 16, 2024, at which point Ruppelt will step into the CEO position and current CFO Bart Kelleher will take on the additional role of president. Ruppelt will maintain responsibility for Ardmore's commercial platform, and Kelleher will maintain his role as CFO until successors are named for the positions.

Maritime Partners Acquires e1 Marine

Kelleher to Succeed Tivnan as Ardmore Shipping CFO

Tanker owner/operator Ardmore Shipping Corporation on Wednesday announced the planned departure of its current chief financial officer Paul Tivnan and appointment of new CFO Bart Kelleher, effective September 28, 2022.Anthony Gurnee, Ardmore's chief executive officer, said, Kelleher and Tivnan will overlap and work together from September 1 to "achieve an orderly and well-planned transition".Kelleher brings to the role more than 25 years of progressive experience in the maritime, finance, energy and industrials sectors, having most recently served as chief executive officer of Chembulk Tankers. Leonhardt & Blumberg Enters the Tanker Market with Trio from Ardmore

German shipowner Leonhardt & Blumberg has entered the tanker shipping sector with the purchase of three MR2 product tankers from Ireland-based Ardmore Shipping.The companies announced Monday that they agreed to terms for the sale of three 2008-built vessels for an aggregate price of $40 million. Ardmore Shipping Appoints Curtis McWilliams as Chairman

The US-based chemical tanker company  Ardmore Shipping Corporation announced that Reginald L. Jones is stepping down as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company effective December 31, 2018. Curtis McWilliams has been appointed as Chairman of the Board effective January 1, 2019, said a stock exchange announcement from the company.Jones will remain as a director until the Company's annual general meeting in 2019, when he does not intend to stand for re-election. He is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Greenbriar Equity Group LLC, Ardmore's initial investor in 2010 which exited its position in Ardmore as part of the monetization of its Fund II in November 2017.
