Seall Enters Distribution Partnership with Mackay Marine

Aberdeen, Scotland-based Seall has secured a partnership with global marine electronics and service provider Mackay Marine to distribute Seall’s suite of software solutions and products to the maritime industry, as they expand their worldwide footprint.Mackay Marine, headquartered in North Carolina, USA, has 50 locations in 16 countries, making it Seall’s largest distribution partnership agreement to-date. Seall will work with Mackay to build and scale their offering across their network of partners and customers.

Comark to Exhibit at Intelligent Ships Symposium

Comark’s New Display Passes Shock Testing

Comark, a designer and manufacturer of rugged computer and display solutions for the marine and military markets, has completed full environmental testing of its new 15” Military HMI, including MIL-901D Grade A lightweight shock testing. The 15” HMI is a sealed and fanless computer display unit developed for DDG 51 Machinery Control Applications. As with all Comark products, this new 15” HMI is designed with the latest technology, including current Core i5 processors, an LED backlit display, a rugged IR touchscreen, and integrated speaker.

Comark Announces MDU42 Large Screen Marine Display Passes Military Testing. Comark Corporation, a leader in the design and manufacture of ruggedized computer and display solutions for the marine and military markets, announced the availability of the MIL Certified MDU42. This 42” Marine Display Unit successfully passed MIL-STD 901D, Grade A, Medium Weight Testing; MIL-STD 167- class 1, type A; MIL-STD-810F; and MIL-STD-461E. These certifications are standard requirements for equipment used on Navy Surface ships.

MPT Upgrades Simulator System

Maritime Professional Training (MPT) has upgraded its simulator, and the maritime training and education provider is claiming that it will be world’s most visually realistic maritime simulator training experience. The system – which provides a true-to-life preview of a career at sea – is a result of MPT's plans to upgrade the visual projection systems of the Main Bridge located at their S.M.A.R.T. (Simulation For Maritime Assessment, Research and Training) Campus in Fort Lauderdale.

Colonel in the US Army, having served in Iraq, and continues to serve in the reserves as a Battalion Commander.
