GTT Receives Samsung Heavy Industries Order for Floating LNG Tank Design

GTT announced that it has received, during the third quarter of 2025, an order from the shipyard Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) for the tank design of a new Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) unit, which will be deployed in the Africa region. ABS Grants Approval for Wison's New FLNG Design

A new design for a 268-meter floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility from Wison New Energies received approval in principle (AIP) from classification society ABS.The unit is designed to perform offshore and at-shore with an expected production capacity of 1.2 million tonnes per annum (mtpa). Wison’s FLNG FEED Design Earns AIP from ABS

Classification society ABS announced it has granted approval In principle (AIP) to Wison Offshore and Marine’s (WOM) Extended FEED on its standardized 3.5 MTPA floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) design.WOM has said the standardized design reduces CO2 emissions and results in a shortened engineering schedule by about 40%.Jiang Hao, WOM General Manager, FLNG Division, said, “WOM continues to optimize and standardize FLNG design, which would significantly improve the production efficiency and effectively reduce the carbon emissions in the production process. . .

Petronas Becomes First Company to Produce LNG from Two FLNG Units

Malaysian oil and gas company Petronas has become the first energy company to produce LNG from two floating LNG facilities, after the LNG shipment was delivered by its floating LNG facility PFLNG DUA on Wednesday, March 24.The cargo was loaded onto the Seri Camar LNG Carrier operated by MISC Bhd for shipment to our LNG Buyer in Thailand. Wison, CCS Partner on China’s FSRU Standards

Wison Offshore & Marine announced it will collaborate with China Classification Society (CCS) Wuhan Rules & Research Institute on various fronts of floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) storage and re-gasification facility (FSRU) developments in China under a strategic cooperation agreement. Pursuant to the agreement, both parties will embark on a wide range of joint efforts in development and optimization of FSRU products, formulation of relevant technical standards, design and review, joint research of new technologies, exchange of know-how and talent development for the industry.

LNG1 (L) Ltd. (PFLNG) to provide maintenance services for PETRONAS’ two forthcoming floating LNG vessels. A Contract Exchange ceremony for the award was held in Kuala  Lumpur on Thursday, 24 March 2016 between PFLNG and SKGE. Under the agreement, SKGE will provide PETRONAS with complete maintenance services for their fleet of twelve gas turbines as well as their fleet of GE compressors, generators and electric motors to be installed on their floating LNG vessels. EXMAR Orders Second FLNG from Wison

EXMAR NV has placed an order for a second Floating LNG Liquefaction Unit (FLNG) at Wison Offshore & Marine. Under the agreement, Wison will be responsible for the turnkey engineering, procurement, construction, transportation, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) of the FLNG, which will be a self-contained barge with a liquefaction capacity of 0.6 MTPA and 20,000 m³ of LNG storage. The FLNG will be constructed at Wison’s shipyard in Nantong, China, where also the construction of the world’s first FLNG for EXMAR is nearing completion.
