These pictures brings the city of Papenburg, with its 35.000 residents, into focus. The pictures are unreal as well as fascinating. AIDAaura Is High and Dry

AIDAaura, the youngest ship in the AIDA fleet, is going into drydock from 18 to 26 April in the Mariotti shipyard in Genoa. The reason for the stay is the scheduled servicing and maintenance work. This will be the first time in the shipyard since the AIDAaura went into service in May of 2003. Up to 30 percent of the work is the fulfilment of guarantee claims. Beyond that, extensive maintenance work in the hotel area which is not possible during running operations will be done. The main reason for the stay in the shipyard is, however, the necessary classification work. This entails, among other things, checks of the sea chests and propeller and their presentation to the classification society German Lloyd. The total budget for the yard work is set at approx. 1.5 Mio. Euros.
