OSM to Supervise Construction of Ocean Infinity's Robotic Vessels in Norway

Maritime and offshore service provider OSM Maritime Group will act as Ocean Infinity's newbuild site supervision partner, for six robotic offshore vessels being built for Ocean Infinity in Norway, for its Armada Fleet.Four vessels will have a length of 21 meters and tow vessels of 36 meters. The robotic vessels, being built at GMV shipyard in Norway will be equipped with state-of-the-art sensors and pioneering navigational technology that allows information to be gathered from the shallowest and deepest waters.

Oslo-listed ADS Crude Carriers has signed a memorandum of agreement to sell the Very Large Crude Carrier ADS Serenade.ADS said Tuesday the vessel would be sold for $25.5 million. GC Rieber to Transfer Fleet Management Business to OSM

Norwegian offshore vessel owner and manager GC Rieber Shipping has signed an agreement to transfer its fleet management services business to OSM Maritime Group, and become a pure shipowner.Under the agreement, GC Rieber Shipping will transfer all technical, crewing, and support functions in Bergen to OSM.OSM will establish a new ship management company within the offshore segment in Bergen, who will be owned 100% by OSM and be located together with OSM Bergen.GC Rieber Shipping currently has 6 vessels under management in Bergen, including vessels under third party management.

Wilhelmsen to Use Drones to Deliver 3D Printed Spare Parts

Wilhelmsen Delivers 3D Printed Parts to Berge Bulk

Norway-based global maritime industry group Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding ASA  announced that Berge Mafadi, a Berge Bulk vessel has received the world’s first commercial delivery of 3d printed scupper plugs, as part of Wilhelmsen’s Early Adopter Program.According to a press release, the program, where customers have exclusive access to on-demand additive manufacturing was launched by Wilhelmsen’s Marine Products division in December 2019. Wilhelmsen Launches 3D Printed Spares EAP

Wilhelmsen has launched an early adopter program for 3D printed marine spare parts. A strategic move by the six early adopters, Carnival Maritime, Thome Ship Management, OSM Maritime Group, Berge Bulk, Executive Ship Management and Wilhelmsen Ship Management have all signed up with Wilhelmsen’s Marine Products division to begin utilizing on-demand additive manufacturing.Wilhelmsen, in cooperation with Ivaldi Group, will provide spare parts on demand to the selected six customers’ vessels around the globe.

OSM Appoints New Chairman amd CEO

Lauritzen Signs Crew Management Pact with OSM

Leading global ship management company OSM Maritime Group has been awarded full crew management of Lauritzen Kosan’s entire fleet of advanced liquefied gas tankers. The agreement, covering 26 refrigerated ethylene, semi-refrigerated and pressurised gas carriers, will help Lauritzen Kosan deliver on its promise of providing optimal efficiency, safety, quality and value for its global base of energy and petrochemical customers. OSM’s focus on the provision of personal service and expert seafarers, combined with delivering significant business efficiencies and economies of scale, has seen the company grow considerably in 2017. Statoil, AET Expand Shuttle Tankers Contract

Statoil ASA and petroleum and chemical tanker owners and operator AET are extending their partnership in the North Sea shuttle tanker sector. Statoil has, awarded a long-term contract to AET, a subsidiary of Malaysian energy shipping group, MISC Berhad, to operate two specialist DP2 offshore loading shuttle tankers (OLSTs) on long-term charter. These new vessels will be in addition to the two AET DP2 ships currently on charter, in the same area, for Statoil. OSM Selects Tero Marine’s TM Master

The OSM Maritime Group has chosen TM Master as the company’s preferred planned maintenance system. Tero Marine is now in the phase of implementing TM Master on 24 container vessels under the technical management of OSM. OSM Maritime Awarded Three Ship Management Contracts

Laurel Ace is a new bulk carrier, built in 2013 at the I-S shipyard in Japan. The vessel was successfully taken over in Japan on the 3rd of July by Capt. Song (OSM Hong Kong), and will sail with Chinese crew. This ship has a length of 161 meters, a breadth of 27 meters, gross tonnage of 17,019 tons and a deadweight of 28,397 MT. Secondly, OSM Maritime Group has been awarded the ship management of the DP-2 Dive Support Vessel Adessa Ocean King, and the ship will be operated by the OSM office in Singapore. The vessel was built in 1989, has a length of 90 meters and the breadth is 20 meters.

Newbuild Shuttle Tankers Feature Hybrid EGCS

The 120,000 dwt. tankers, Eagle Barents and Eagle Bergen, delivered from Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI), are fitted with Class and Flag State approved exhaust gas cleaning systems (EGCS) provided by Clean Marine. Measurements of exhaust gas emission and washwater criteria are well below the limits required by the IMO, ensuring the vessels’ compliancy with the 0.1% sulphur limit in ECAs which has been in force since January 1 of this year. The vessels are also compliant with the stricter US EPA requirements of a pH above 6 in washwater, measured at the outlet.

AET Names DP Shuttle for Statoil Charter

Petroleum tanker owner and operator AET today named its newest vessel, a 120,000 DWT DP2 shuttle tanker, Eagle Bergen. Eagle Bergen is the second of two vessels built by Samsung Heavy Industries to the standards required to operate on the Norwegian continental shelf. She is fixed on long-term charter to Statoil ASA. The new vessel is owned and commercially managed by a joint venture company AET Sea Shuttle AS, which is formed between majority partner AET and ADS Shipping Limited of Norway. She is technically managed byADS sister company OSM Maritime Group. The naming ceremony was held in Stavanger, Norway, and the ship was sponsored by Heidi Aakre, Vice President, Asset Management for Manufacturing, Storage and Shipping of Statoil ASA.
