RWO's BWMS Earns USCG Type Approval

The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) said its Marine Safety Center issued type approval to RWO GmbH for its ballast water management system (BWMS) after a detailed review of the manufacturer’s application determined the system met the requirements of 46 CFR 162.060.The treatment principle of the CleanBallast-Ocean Barrier System (CB-OBS) BWMS consists of filtration and electrochemical disinfection during ballasting and neutralization of residual active substances during deballasting. RWO Reports Boosted Sales in 2014

RWO GmbH, manufacturer of water treatment plants in the maritime sector, said the Bremen-based company increased orders received in its core business by 32% in the first four months of 2014 compared to the same period last year. RWO Reports a Healthy Interest in CleanBallast System

After RWO’s CleanBallast system was considered as the first choice by Canadian shipowner Seaspan, the Bremen-based marine water treatment expert is proud to announce further contracts for its ballast water treatment system for Belgian and Canadian shipowners. The broad portfolio of marine water technologies has secured another contract for RWO GmbH in its expanding field of ballast water treatment units. RWO Obtains Ballast Water Treatment Order

With a new order,  RWO GmbH, a subsidiary of VeoliaWater Solutions & Technologies, has entered the bulker market with its ballast water treatment system CleanBallast. Hong Kong-based shipowner Bohandymar, a subsidiary of the CMB group, has ordered 1,500 m³/hr CleanBallast systems to be installed aboard their handysize ECO-type bulk vessels. CleanBallast Ready for Russian-Flagged Vessels

RWO's ballast water treatment system received RMRS Type Approval. Classification society Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS) has issued a type approval certificate for the RWO ballast water treatment system CleanBallast. Japanese Shipyard Orders CleanBallast

RWO Marine Water Technology, a part of Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies, has received an order for three of its ballast water treatment systems CleanBallast from the Japanese shipyard Sumitomo Heavy Industries Marine & Engineering Co.
