Ukraine Says Part of Black Sea Port of Olvia Has Been Hit

QP Begins VLSFO Bunkering at Ras Laffan Port

State-owned oil company Qatar Petroleum announced the commencement of Very Low Sulfur Fuel Oil (VLSFO) bunker supply operations at Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC) Port.The VLSFO marine fuel offering has been initiated in advance of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) 2020 regulation for a 0.50% global Sulfur limit for marine fuels which will come into effect 1st January 2020.Qatar Petroleum, in conjunction with Qatar Fuel (Woqod), initiated bunkering services in Qatar in June 2017 with the importation of its maiden HFO cargo (RMG 380 CST 3.5% Sulfur) in order to cater for the bunkering needs of both Qatargas’ LNG fleet and other vessels calling to Ras Laffan and the region.From June 2017 through August 2019…

Qatar, Shell Partner on LNG Bunkering

QP Issues Tender for 4 Mega LNG Trains

"Big Three" Korean Yards Vie for Qatari LNG Ships

The state-run Qatar Petroleum (QP)  has revealed plans to order 60 new LNG carriers preferably from South Korean shipyards. Qatar Petroleum Acquires UDC’s 20% Interest in SEEF

Nakilat Profit Jumps by 8.5%

Qatargas-RasGas Merger

The integration of RasGas with Qatargas will enable the world’s largest LNG exporter to save QR2bn ($550 million) a year, Qatar Petroleum (QP), the state-owned energy giant, announced. Qatar to Boost LNG Production by 30% Amid Arab Dispute

State-owned Qatar Petroleum said Tuesday it aims to raise Qatar’s LNG production from 77 million to 100 million tons per year. The new additional volumes will be secured by doubling the size of the new gas project in the southern sector of the North Field, which Qatar Petroleum had announced last April. This will increase the North Field’s production of natural gas, condensate and other associated products by one million barrels of oil equivalent per day. Qatargas starts operations at Laffan Refinery 2

Qatargas, the world's largest LNG producer, announced the commercial start-up of Laffan Refinery 2, marking a major milestone in the expansion of refining capacity in the State of Qatar. The project will refine 146,000 barrels per day of condensate from the North Field, the largest non-associated natural gas reserve in the world. Nakilat takes over first LNG carrier management from Shell

Nakilat has announced the management takeover of Q-Max LNG carrier Mozah from Shell International Trading and Shipping Company Limited (STASCO). Five Vessels Delivered for Qatar’s New Port Project

Nakilat Damen Shipyards Qatar (NDSQ) has delivered five vessels as part of an 11-vessel order for New Port Project (NPP). Built entirely at the Erhama Bin Jaber Al Jalahma Shipyard in Ras Laffan Industrial City, the vessels were launched and delivered to NPP after successful completion of their sea trials. Measuring 15.4 meters long with a beam of 5 meters and a speed of 25 knots, the two Damen Stan Pilot 1505 pilot boats Um Alhoul 1 and Um Alhoul 2 will be used to carry out pilot duties and the transportation of personnel.

Qatar Petroleum Delivers 500th LNG Cargo UK

Qatar Petroleum (QP) has announced the delivery of the 500th liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo from QP affiliate Qatar Liquefied Gas Company (2) to the South Hook LNG Terminal at Milford Haven in the United Kingdom. The landmark delivery, on Thursday March 24th, was made on board the Q-Flex LNG vessel Al-Hamla. Mr. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, the President and CEO of Qatar Petroleum, described the delivery as “another significant achievement for Qatar’s LNG industry”.
