Burger Boat Company announced the delivery of a 98-foot steel passenger vessel to Chicago's First Lady Cruises in Chicago. The vessel, Chicago’s Classic Lady, was designed by Seacraft Design, LLC of Sturgeon Bay, Wisc.

Chicago’s Classic Lady departed the Burger shipyard Saturday afternoon, May 10, 2014, on her delivery voyage to the Chicago waterfront, arriving early the next morning.

Built by Burger Boat Company of Manitowoc, Wisc., Chicago’s Classic Lady is powered by two Caterpillar C12 main engines and has two Caterpillar C4.4 generators. Chicago’s Classic Lady is certified USCG Subchapter K.

According to Burger, the vessel features exterior styling that reflects the handsome elegance of early 20th century luxury yachts, richly decorated in mahogany and brass tones. With an open-air upper deck and climate controlled interior spaces, a carpeted main salon with large arched windows, round tables and upholstered chairs, passengers can enjoy the beautiful Chicago skyline throughout the vessel.

Designed to carry a maximum of 299 passengers, Chicago’s Classic Lady will be used for upscale private parties, wedding rehearsal dinners and corporate events, as well as, serve as an official vessel for the Chicago Architecture Foundation River Cruise.
