Yacht Race from Hong Kong to the Philippines

Approximately 34 yachts are expected to participate in a race from Hong Kong to the Philippines will take place from April 16-21, GAC said in its daily Hot Port News report.

The race will commence on Wednesday, April 16 at 1:20 p.m. off the Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter. It will follow a route through the eastern harbor and Tathong Channel to the east of Waglan Island, thence to the Philippines.

Masters, coxswains and persons-in-charge of vessels navigating in the vicinity of the race route should proceed with caution, giving practical consideration to the contestants. Compliance with the provisions of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972 is mandatory.
