Pirates Raid Tanker

On March 26, 10 pirates with automatic weapons stormed an 1,300 DWT Indonesian chemical tanker in the waters on the Malaysian and Indonesia border. The pirates arrived in speedboats, four pirates boarded, switched of the communication systems, held the crew at gunpoint while stealing electronic equipment and $13,000. No injuries were reported.
