Cascade General Granted Post-Turnover of USNS Rainier

Cascade General Inc., Portland, Ore., is to be Awarded a $6,192,763 firm-fixed-price contract for the post-turnover shipyard availability of the USNS Rainier. Work will be performed in Portland, Ore., and is expected to be completed in December 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

This contract was competitively procured with five proposals solicited and two offers received. The U.S. Navy's Military Sealift Command, headquartered in Washington, D.C. is the contracting activity (N62383-03-C2271).
