Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

August 11, 2011

Hydraulic power for marine, mining, subsea, utility, construction and demolition applications.

CS Unitec’s powerful 2 HP Hydraulic Reciprocating Saw is designed for fast, hand-held cutting of metal and wood. The saw’s durability makes this tool perfectly suited for use in subsea, marine, mining, utility, industrial plant maintenance, construction and demolition industries. Model 5 1219 0010 (also known as The SHARK), weighing 13 lbs., quickly cuts pipe and wood up to 6" dia. and metal up to 3/4” dia. It is also ideal for cutting structural steel, tanks, bolts, plastic and other material. It has the capability to mount on an optional Pipe Clamp to make 90 degree cuts. Use of a clamp with the saw increases leverage five times over hand cutting and is also safer for the operator.

The SHARK uses universal 1/2" shank, single-tang reciprocating saw blades, as well as thicker, heavy-duty, double-tang blades for 90˚ cuts. Saw blades are available with a variety of TPI and lengths from 6" to 12".

This CS Unitec Reciprocating Saw has an ANC (All-round Needle-bearing Crank) gear drive that reduces friction and wear, resulting in less heat and longer tool life. The SHARK has a variable speed of 0-1700 strokes per minute and operates on 2000 PSI / 6 GPM hydraulic oil. It has an automatic by-pass that allows oil flow above 6 gallons to return to the tank of the hydraulic power unit.
