PMS 1386: First of Two RAstar 3200 Tugs
PM Coast Maritime Pte. Ltd. completed sea trials of PMS 1386, the first of two RAstar 3200 tugs to be built by its own shipyard in Singapore. The RAstar class of tugs is intended for operations in exposed areas such as many new LNG terminals where a high standard of sea-keeping is required. With Fi-Fi 1, oil recovery and escort notations, this particular vessel is able to fulfill a wide variety of duties in adverse conditions.

Even without the dramatic white and green paint job, the Fast Pax and Supply Vessel (FPSV) Bourbon Sirocco would draw attention. Her delivery voyage from the Piriou’s South East Asia Shipyard (SEAS) in Viet Nam marked the first of a series under construction for Bourbon Inc.
Penguin Delivers Crewboat
Delivered in October 2012, Penguin’s Flex-38S series crew boat, the MV Abba is fast and versatile. With capacity for up to 90 workers in reclining seats the boat also has an 80-square-meter open deck with a 55-ton capacity. The deck is strengthened for up to two MT per square meter. At 38 x7.6 m(124.7 x 25-feet) with a molded depth of 3.65 m (aprox. 12 feet) this is a big boat built to Penguin Shipyard International Pte Ltd’s proprietary design.

VT Halter Delivers ATB for Bouchard
VT Halter Marine, Inc. delivered the 112-ft. ATB Offshore Tug, Evening Star, for Bouchard Transportation Co., Inc., a tug similar to others built for Bouchard in previous years by Halter Marine. Measuring 112 x 35 x 17 ft., the 4,000-hp tug is classed by ABS as A1 Towing Vessel, Dual Mode, and is equipped with an Intercon Coupler System. Construction of the vessel began in June 2011 at VT Halter Marine’s Moss Point Marine facility in Escatawpa, Miss.
