SharpEye Radar Ordered for NZ Frigates Upgrade
As part of the Lockheed Martin Canada prime contract for the Frigate Systems Upgrade project, a contract has been awarded to Kelvin Hughes to supply SharpEye radars and with an Agile Tracker to the New Zealand (NZ) Ministry of Defense. Kelvin Hughes will supply its S-Band solid state upmast 2D navigation and surveillance radar SharpEye, for two ship sets along with their tactical Naval MantaDigital display software and processors.
MTNW Discontinues Sale of LCI-80 Line Control Display
MTNW has discontinued the sale its LCI-80 Line Control Display, the company announced yesterday. Technical support and service will continue to be available for in-service equipment. The LCI-80 will be replaced by the LCI-80x Rugged Programmable Controller. Bosch Rexroth has upgraded the electrohydraulic controller used on the companyās A4VSO and A4VSG hydraulic axial piston components, which function as secondary control units in the Rexroth Active Heave Compensation (AHC) system for offshore winching applications. Replacing the previous DS1 model, the new Rexroth DS2R electrohydraulic controller features proportional valve technology for more reliability, easier maintenance and lower cost, the manufacturer said.
