MarineCFO Offers Vessel365 & Homeport365.

Industry technology services provider, MarineCFO, has announced the “Sub M 90” Program commencing February 25, 2016 and terminating June 22, 2016. According to Tug & Barge Solutions, a Sub M consultant and MarineCFO partner, the Office of Management & Budget (OMB) received the Final Rule version of Sub Chapter M from United States Coast Guard on February 12, 2016.  The OMB has until June 22nd to review the Sub Chapter M Final Rule prior to publication in the Federal Register.

The MarineCFO “Sub M 90” Program kicked off on February 25, 2016 to support towing operators during this OMB review process.  All Sub Chapter M impacted owners are eligible to advance order their onboard Vessel365 subscription through June 22, 2016 by contacting MarineCFO.  Implementation of Vessel365 subscriptions will begin the day after the Final Rule is published in the Federal Register.
Workboat owners have an opportunity to learn more about the unmatched quality of MarineCFO product features and technology services during the advanced ordering period.  MarineCFO encourages all operators to take advantage of and fully utilize Vessel365 to experience the automated recordkeeping processes mandated by Sub Chapter M.

“Together with our Sub Chapter M teaming partners, RINA and TBS, MarineCFO is rolling out Sub M 90 in response to OMB’s Sub M review which began February 12th and is due to finalize in less than 90 days.  The OMB review signals the race to finish for publication of the Sub Chapter M Final Rule in the Federal Register in late June or early July”, said Dean Shoultz, MarineCFO Chief Technology Officer, “Now is the time for MarineCFO to lend the weight of our support to the towing industry as this long awaited rulemaking is now in sight of implementation.”

Also according to MarineCFO, Vessel365 has been much anticipated by inland waterways operators as the standard in onboard Sub Chapter M recordkeeping processes. Sub M 90 allows towing vessel operators to opt into Vessel365 advanced ordering good through June 22, 2016.

“Vessel365 brings together the best features of the MarineCFO Enterprise suite into a quick install, easy to use, and affordable subscription based solution”, explained Laura Martin, MarineCFO Vice President for Client Services, “By moving MarineCFO’s proven best in breed features to the cloud we’re able to offer vessel operators an unprecedented level of services for a fraction of the ERP cost.  More importantly, MarineCFO takes seriously our role as the premier marine software partner in the United States and Sub M 90 is a testament to that commitment.”

The Vessel365 application is an intuitive User Interface which includes Document Management and Vessel Checklist features in version 1. Version 2 will follow shortly thereafter to include Vessel Logging features, then advanced planned maintenance and personnel management functions. The application is downloadable directly from the Microsoft Store, and will operate in any Windows environment above Windows 7. Continuous internet connectivity is not required for Vessel365 operation.

Homeport365 is included as a shore-based fleet and configuration management application to complement Vessel365. Engineered with advanced filtering tools, several business & regulatory intelligence features, and easy workflow, Homeport365 creates efficiency, transparency, and accountability throughout the vessel operator’s business footprint.

“As the trusted technology partner to the maritime services industry, MarineCFO is in tune with Sub Chapter M but we also recognize the legal & financial exposure and recordkeeping burden that VGP, Ballast Water Management, IRS regulations, and Jones Act litigations create for the industry. The reimaging of MarineCFO Enterprise has been with the purpose of helping to limit an operator’s financial and legal exposure through a simple yet robust electronic recordkeeping solution anchored by MarineCFO’s most desirable features. We encourage towing operators to gain traction against legal and financial liabilities issues through participation in Sub M 90,” Shoultz concluded.
