Proposed Withdrawal of Vessel Escort Rulemaking
The US Coast Guard proposes to withdraw its plan to amend regulations relating to escort vessels for single-hulled oil tankers. The proposal would have considered whether the statutory requirement for escort vessels in Prince William Sound and Puget Sound should be expanded to other waters and other vessels. Comments on the proposed withdrawal should be submitted by July 14. 73 Fed. Reg. 20232 (HK Law).
