Latest ShadowCat Wayfinder Delivered
The second vessel in the ShadowCat range, Wayfinder, has been delivered, naval architect Incat Crowther and yacht services fir YCTS Ltd announced. Wayfinder builds on the capability of Hodor, delivered in 2019.Wayfinder has a 68-meter length, 14-meter beam and a draft of 2.4 meters which permits close coastline navigation. Features include a fully certified helipad and helicopter hangar, with accommodation and storage over four decks.
Equinor Contracts Seadrill Drillship West Saturn
Offshore drilling contractor Seadrill said it has secured a four-year firm contract with four one year options for the West Saturn drillship with Equinor Brasil Energia Ltda for work on the Bacalhau field in Brazil.Total value for the firm portion of the contract, including mobilization, upgrades and integrated services, is expected to be approximately $380 million, with a performance bonus providing meaningful incremental opportunity, Seadrill said.

Classification society ABS has published guidance on the application of additive manufacturing (AM) in the marine and offshore industries.The ABS Guide for Additive Manufacturing focuses on two main categories of metal AM processes: Powder Bed Fusion and Directed Energy Deposition. The Guide defines the ABS approval and certification process for AM facilities and AM parts by providing standards for AM design, feedstock material, building processes, inspection and testing.

Latsco Inks LNG Carrier Maintenance Deal with Wärtsilä
Greece-based Latsco LNG Marine Management has signed a five-year maintenance agreement with Wärtsilä covering the main engines for two large liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers, the Hellas Diana and the Hellas Athina.The deal signed in March 2021 covers two new vessels built at the Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) yard in South Korea. They are 297 meters in length and have a cargo capacity of 174,000 cubic meters.

Conrad Shipyard hosted a keel laying ceremony for a new 6,500 cubic yard trailing suction hopper dredge it is building for Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company (GLDD).
