Corpus Christi: Energy Port of the Americas
The Port of Corpus Christi lives up to its moniker âEnergy Port of the Americas,â as the movement of energy in and out dominates the portâs history and future. John P. LaRue, Executive Director, Port Corpus Christi recently visited Maritime Reporterâs headquarters in New York to discuss the nearly $50 billion in investment projects driving the port forward. âLetâs just start with what we are and what we are not,â said LaRue. âWe are not a container port.
Update: Transnet Refloats Vessel Grounded at Port of Durban Entrance
One of three vessels that has grounded in the Port of Durban today due to inclement weather has been successfully refloated and remoored alongside. Port teams remain on scene attending to the remaining vessels. TNPA has also managed to contain containers that had blown into the bay. At this stage vessel movements in the Port of Durban remain suspended until futher notice. No severe disruptions have been reported thus far at the Port of Richards Bay.
Master Marine Delivers for Waterfront Services
Master Marine has delivered the first of four 67â x 28â fleet boats to Waterfront Services Co. Each boat will be powered by a pair of Laborde Products, Inc. S6R2-Y3MPTAW Mitsubishi 803 HP tier III diesel marine engines to be operated at 1,400 RPM coupled to Twin Disc MG 5321, 5:1 gears, E300 electronic controls with RW Fernstrum, Inc. keel coolers. Electrical power was also provided by Laborde Products, Inc.
