Keppel to Deliver First FPSO of 2017

Keppel Offshore & Marine subsidiary Keppel Shipyard Ltd is on track to deliver a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel to Yinson Production (West Africa) Pte Ltd (Yinson), a subsidiary of Yinson Holdings Berhad, marking the first FPSO delivery of 2017.   The spread-moored FPSO unit was named John Agyekum Kufuor during a naming ceremony held at Keppel Shipyard this morning.   It will be chartered by ENI Ghana Exploration & Production Limited (ENI Ghana) to process oil and gas from the Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) block located in Offshore Ghana.   Michael Chia, Managing Director (Marine & Technology) of Keppel O&M, said, "Over the years, we have strengthened our relationship with our repeat customers, Yinson and ENI, and we are glad to be able to support them once again in providing FPSO solutions to the market.   "We have a strong track record of customizing FPSOs for a wide variety of fields. FPSO John Agyekum Kufuor is our 27th conversion project for Africa, and 125th overall."   FPSO John Agyekum Kufuor has a storage capacity of 1.7 million barrels, with an oil processing capacity of 58,000 barrels per day. It has a design life of 20 years without dry docking and can be moored in an average water depth of 1,000m with a total topside weight of almost 15,000 metric tons.  


Jurong Completes FPSO Upgrade

Singapore’s Jurong Shipyard Ltd (JSL) has announced that the upgrading of the FPSO Sendje Berge was completed on December 7. Measuring 349 m x 52 m x 27 m, the 274,000 dwt FPSO Sendje Berge underwent major upgrading and installation works to boost her production and storage capabilities. Life extension works were also carried out to extend the FPSO vessel’s life for an additional four to eight years without drydocking


Keppel Secures $200 Million in Contracts

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd's (Keppel O&M) subsidiaries - Keppel FELS Brasil S.A. Yinson Sells FPSO Stake in Ghana

 Malayasia's Yinson Holdings has sold its26 percent stake in its floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit in Ghana to a consortium of Japanese companies, The Star reported.   According to the heads of agreement (HoA) with the consortium, the value of the stake in Yinson Production (West Africa) Pte Ltd (YPWA), the company said yesterday, was estimated in the range of $104 million to $117 million.

Teekay Acquires 50 Percent Interest in Itajai FPSO Unit

Teekay Offshore Partners L.P. announced that it has agreed to acquire a 50 percent interest in the Cidade de Itajai floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit from Teekay Corporation for a purchase price of approximately $204 million. The acquisition will be financed with assumed debt and proceeds from the recently completed equity private placement. The acquisition is expected to be completed on June 1, 2013, subject to customary closing conditions
