A&P Falmouth has been granted the multi-million dollar contract to refit the 33,257-dwt Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA) Brambleleaf, which is due to arrive in the yard on April 29 for 61 days.

Owned by the Ministry of Defence, the vessel will undergo a general refit and maintenance repairs while in dry dock including blasting and painting of external hull and decks, main engine overhaul, survey work on tanks, machinery and cargo systems, accommodation refurbishment and maintenance and overhaul of pipelines, systems and machinery.

A&P Falmouth also completed a similar refit on the RFA Brambleleaf's sister vessel the RFA Orangeleaf in 2001, which was very successfully completed on time and on budget.
