3PSC Awarded Contract

3PSC LLC, Reston, Va., is being awarded an $18,413,853 firm-fixed-price contract with award fee and reimbursables for the operation and maintenance of two special mission ships, USNS Hayes and USNS Waters, which are public vessels of the U.S. government under the administrative control of the commander, Military Sealift Command. USNS Hayes is an acoustic research ship operated for Naval Sea Systems Command and USNS Waters is a consolidated support ship operated for the Director, Strategic Systems Programs. This contract contains options, which if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $31,445,473. Work will be performed worldwide, and is to be completed in November 2005. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured, with eight offers received. The U.S. Navy's Military Sealift Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
