Electric Boat Receives $38M for Sub Work
Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a
$38,316,308 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification under previously
awarded contract (N00024-02-C-2901) to exercise an option for
the procurement and manufacturing of long lead time material for
the conversion of Ohio Class SSBN submarines to Ohio Class SSGN
submarines. Work will be performed in Quonset, R.I. (82
percent), and Groton, Conn. (18 percent), and is to be completed
by September 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of
the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command,
Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
