MarAd and Hapag-Lloyd Sign Agreement

MarAd and Hapag-Lloyd, LLC, entered into agreements calling for non-emergency repairs to be performed in United States shipyards on five vessels enrolled in the Maritime Security Program. MarAD will pay the difference between the cost of such repairs in foreign shipyards and the cost of such repairs in United States shipyards, subject to the availability of appropriations.
