Navionics Introduces Larger XL Charts

Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

December 14, 2001

Navionics, a manufacturer of marine electronic charts, announced the relesase of an entirely new productline, called the XL charts, which consists of larger charts at reduced prices. The new XL charts typically have three times the coverage at a third less the price, compared to the previous product.

Navionics charts are used in many popular chart plotters from prominent instrument manufacturers like Furuno, Lowrance, Northstar, Raymarine, Raymarine and others. Navionics also announces in a joint venture with SevenCs of Hamburg, Germany, they will produce charts for commercial ships.

Trite but true, the path to decarbonization has no ‘silver bullet’ solution.
