MAN Energy Solutions reports it has received an order for three MAN 6L21/31DF-M (Dual Fuel-Methanol) GenSets capable of running on methanol in connection with the construction of a 7,990 dwt IMO Type II chemical bunker tanker.The dual-fuel engines will form part of a diesel-electric propulsion system on board the vessel with electrical motors driving twin fixed-pitch propellers via gearboxes; an onboard battery-storage system will optimize the use of the dual-fueled generators.

Bavaria Yachts, the producer of sailing and motor yachts in Europe, has appointed Michael Müller as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bavaria Yachtbau GmbH in Germany. Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP) now offers bunkering of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). First off was the vessel Ireland, which unloaded cement in Malmö. In connection with this she was provided with LNG via tanker lorries. It's about bunkering where safety requirements are extra tough. The bunkering at the end of May was made possible through close cooperation between the LNG supplier SkanGas, the client company Cementa, and CMP. Together the companies have investigated risks, taken precautionary measures and developed routines for bunkering LNG at CMP. "Ireland was provided with LNG via two tanker lorries on the quayside. The bunkering was undramatic, and it feels good for us now to be able to offer this possibility", says CMP's Terminal Manager Emil Nordström.

A new cruise terminal will be built in Copenhagen, having received the go-ahead from the Board of Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP). CMP has responded to rising demand and has assessed that current facilities need to be augmented with another terminal building, Terminal 4. MAN Diesel & Turbo’s dual-fuel MAN L23/30DF engine successfully passed its Type Approval Test (TAT) at CSSC Marine Power (CMP) in Zhenjiang in front of the industry’s main classification societies.
