Yinson Orders TMC Compressors for Anna Nery FPSO

Malaysian FPSO provider Yinson has ordered a large marine compressed air system from TMC for the FPSO Anna Nery, which currently under construction in China, and destined for Petrobras' Marlim revitalization project in Brazil.TMC's compressed air system will consist of four large capacity service and instrument air compressors with associated air dryers and filters. TMC Develops ALS Compressors

TMC Compressors of the Seas is launching a new range compressors designed to work air lubrication systems (ALS) for the shipping and offshore industries to help ships further reduce fuel consumption and emissions to air.The Norway-based supplier of compressed air systems for marine and offshore use said in a press note that the air lubrication system is a method used to reduce the resistance between the ship’s hull and seawater by using air bubbles. The air bubble distribution across the hull surface reduces the resistance working on the ship’s hull, creating energy-saving effects.TMC’s marine compressed air systems for air lubrication systems can be utilised to generate the required stream of air bubbles that passes continuously beneath the ship’s surface…

TMC to Equip Cardiff Gas LNG Newbuilds

Norwegean compressor supplier TMC Compressors of the Seas (TMC) has been awarded a contract to supply a complete marine compressed air system and associated equipment to four of TMS Cardiff Gas’ LNG carriers currently under construction.The four LNG carriers are being built at Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) and Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) in South Korea.TMC’s scope of supply is to provide 2 x control air compressors, 1 x service air compressor, , and 2 x N2 (nitrogen) feed air compressors for each of the four vessels. Chinese Shipbuilder Orders TMC Compressors

Chinese  heavy-duty equipment manufacturer Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC) has contracted TMC Compressors of the Seas to supply a marine compressed air system for a new pipelay vessel.TMC will supply a major marine compressed air system consisting of 4 x working air compressors, 4 desiccant air dryers, 2 x instrument air compressors and desiccant air dryers, 4 x starting air compressors, 4 x high pressure compressors for the vessel’s tensioning system, plus 4 x high pressure air dryers. TMC Supplies Air Systems to Tersan Shipyard

Oslo-based TMC Compressors of the Seas (TMC) has signed a deal to deliver its energy efficient marine compressed air systems to two new cruise vessels Tersan Shipyard is building for Norwegian shipowner Havila Kystruten. TMC has not disclosed the value of its contract. Its scope of work is to deliver a complete marine compressed air system consisting of energy efficient instrument air compressors and air dryers, to each of the two newbuild cruise ships – the Havila Capella and Havila Castor.Powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) and batteries, they will be the most environmentally friendly coastal cruise ships in service, according to Havila Kystruten.The vessels are scheduled to start sailing in early 2021…

US Pelagic Trawler Picks TMC compressors

Shipbuilder Thoma-Sea Marine Constructors has awarded TMC Compressors of the Seas (TMC) a contract to deliver a complete marine compressed air system for the 100 m long Rolls-Royce designed pelagic trawler the yard is building for Seattle based Arctic Storm Management Group.According to a press release from the Louisiana-based Thoma-Sea, which designs, constructs, and delivers vessels, tugs, and ships for the commercial marine sector, TMC’s scope of work is to develop and supply a complete marine compressed air system consisting of energy efficient service and instrument air compressors as well as air dryers. TMC’s contract value is undisclosed.The vessel is scheduled for delivery in 2021, and it will be 100 meters long, with a beam of 21 meters.

VLCC Compressor System Contracts to TMC

International compressor supplier TMC Compressors (TMC) has been awarded a contract to supply complete marine compressed air systems for two very large crude carriers (VLCC) currently being built by Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) in South Korea. DSME is currently constructing the two VLCCs for Singapore-based BW Tankers, a subsidiary of the BW Group. Both VLCCs will be 318,000 dwt and are scheduled to be delivered in 2018. Since 1929, Airchime air horns, electric horns, and accessories have been well known for their high quality and durability in commercial marine, industrial, and locomotive applications. All Airchime Marine and Industrial products will now be manufactured in Kahlenberg’s existing facility in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. While some of the Airchime products have competed directly with Kahlenberg products in the commercial marine and industrial sectors, many of the Airchime designs are complementary to Kahlenberg’s existing product line, and greatly expand the range of products that can now be offered by Kahlenberg Brothers Company.
