DOF Sells PSV Skandi Captain

DOF Rederi, a fully owned subsidiary of Norway's DOF Group, on Wednesday entered into an agreement to sell the 2004-built, medium-size platform supply vessel (PSV) Skandi Captain to an undisclosed international buyer.The vessel is slated to be handed over to its new owner in the first quarter of 2024. DOF did not reveal the sale price but said the sale will have a "positive accounting effect".The 74.3-meter-long Skandi Captain is a MT 6009-FSV design PSV built by Myklebust Verft in Norway.

Equinor, Shell Extend Offshore Vessel Charters with DOF

Offshore vessel owner DOF said Tuesday it had won vessel charter extensions with Norway's Equinor and Shell in the UK.Equinor has exercised options to extend the firm periods of the contracts for 2008-built Skandi Mongstad PSV for three years, and 2010-built Skandi Vega AHTS vessel for two years. Both vessels have worked continuously with Equinor since delivery from the yard in 2008 and 2010, respectively.Also, Shell UK Ltd has exercised an option to extend the contract for the platform supply vessel Skandi Kvitsøy for one year firm, from end March 2022.Furthermore, DOF's subsidiary DOF Rederi has sold Skandi Rona, a platform supply vessel built in 2002, with delivery in April. DOF did not share the financial details.

DOF Subsea Charters Jones Act-compliant Offshore Vessel

Oslo-listed Subsea services company DOF Subsea has entered into an agreement with Otto Candies for the charter of the Jones Act compliant vessel Chloe Candies for a firm period of two years. The deal follows on from the charter of the Ross Candies, DOF Subsea, a subsidiary of DOF ASA, said."The charter period commenced in May, with the intent to utilize the vessel to support operations for existing North American clients in the GOM," DOF Subsea added. In addition, DOF's subsidiary DOF Rederi has sold the vessel Skandi Sotra vessel to an international buyer with delivery in first half of 2022.

DOF Sells Platform Supplier Skandi Texel

Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF Rederi AS, a subsidiary of DOF, has sold the platform supply vessel Skandi Texel.DOF said Wednesday that the vessel had been sold to a Norwegian company. It did not say who the buyer was exactly, but it did say that the vessel would leave the oil services sector."The vessel will be delivered to the new owner with immediate effect and will depart from the oil service sector after the sale. The gain from the sale is approximately NOK 12 million."Skandi Texel is a 69.5 meters long vessel of the MT 6009S design which joined the DOF fleet in 2006 and has been working on long-term contracts mainly in the North Sea.

DOF Sells Two Offshore Vessels

Oslo-listed offshore vessel owner DOF has through its subsidiary DOF Rederi sold two offshore vessels.DOF said Wednesday it had sold the 2002-built anchor handler Skandi Giant. The AHTS unit has been sold to an unnamed international buyer for an undisclosed fee.VesselsValue has estimated the Skandi Giant's market value to be around $3.1 million.Further, DOF Rederi has agreed to sell the 1983-built (2009-rebuilt) Skandi Hav offshore vessel for recycling. The vessel will be acquired by a yard in Turkey. Delivery to the recycling yard is expected to take place in September this year.According to VesselsValue, Skandi Hav's scrap value is around $450,000. DOF did not provide details on the financial side of the deal.

DOF Bags Three ROV Contracts in Brazil

Norwegian supply shipping company DOF Subsea has been awarded contracts for three remotely operated (ROV) Support Vessels (RSV) with Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras).All contracts have a firm duration of three years and can be extended for another two years, informed the offshore support vessel owner.The vessels allocated for the contracts are Skandi Commander, Skandi Olympia and Skandi Chieftain, all owned by DOF Rederi AS (100 % owned by DOF ASA).Each vessel will be equipped with two state of the art work class ROVs owned and operated by DOF Subsea Group. All three contracts are expected to commence in 2nd quarter 2019. Estimated total firm contract value is NOK 1,3 billion. Skandi Olympia (built 2009) has been on charter with Fugro since her delivery in 2009.

DOF Secures New Work in the North Sea

DOF Group subsidiary DOF Rederi AS has signed an agreement with Nexen Petroleum UK for Skandi Marstein, MT 6000 design Platform Supply Vessel (PSV). The contract will start in May and is firm until end 2017. DOF Rederi has further signed a three months contract, plus options with Maersk Oil North Sea UK Ltd. for Skandi Gamma with start up in April.

DOF Subsea Awarded IRM Contract

DOF Subsea announced today it has been awarded a Letter of Award (LOA) with an unnamed major international oil company in the Asia Pacific region.   According to DOF Subsea, the LOA is for a seven-year IRM contract (plus three-year option), and the vessel Skandi Hawk is planned to be utilized under the contract. The work scope includes project management and engineering, ROV and diving services.   As part of a contract award, the vessel Skandi Hawk will be sold from DOF Rederi AS to DOF Subsea Rederi AS.
