Pronomar Equips Louis Dreyfus SOVs

Turkey’s Cemre Shipyard has contracted Dutch equipment supply company Pronomar to equip two service operation vessels (SOVs) ordered by Louis Dreyfus Armateurs for Ørsted with drying systems for the workwear of the technicians.The first of the two vessels, Wind of Change, has been using Pronomar’s equipment since June 2019 when it started servicing Ørsted’s offshore wind farms in the German North Sea.With accommodation for 90 people, this vessel is one of the biggest SOV’s in the offshore wind industry.After a successful delivery in April of this year, LDA commissioned Cemre Shipyard once again to build their sister vessel named “Wind…

Pronomar Equips Bibby WaveMaster 1

Damen Shipyards Gorinchem built the walk-to-work services operations vessel Bibby WaveMaster 1, and Pronomar provided drying systems for workwear to the turbine maintenance personnel. Damen Shipyards Gorinchem is the headquarters of the Damen Shipyards Group and delivers up to 180 vessels each year and has built more than 6,000 ships since 1969. This custom-designed vessel was deployed for U.K.-based Bibby Marine Services. It is designed to operate with maximum efficiency, while providing a high level of comfort for the crew.

River Cruise Ship Gets Water Treatment Upgrade

The company River Advice started to make its Avalon fleet environment-friendly a few years ago. The Avalon Scenery was the first ship to use the MERUS water treatment technology, which was installed in 2012, marking the beginning of a cooperation between River Advice and Pronomar. Now several Avalon ships have the MERUS rings on board, including most recently the Monarch Empress. The Monarch Empress is a luxurious river cruise ship with 72 cabins which can accommodate 144 passengers. Furthermore, the vessel is equipped with a bar-lounge, restaurant and fitness center.

Pronomar Delivers for Bernard Schulte’s New SOVs

Pronomar said it has provided drying systems to Bernard Schulte Ship Management, for the company’s two new service operations vessels (SOVs), Windea La Cour and another to-be-named, working under contract for SIEMENS in the 600 megawatt Gemini wind farm in the Dutch part of the North Sea. The vessels, constructed at the Ulstein Verft shipyard in Norway, have accommodation for 60 persons in single cabins, of which 40 cabins are dedicated to technicians. Hansa Offenburg, Hansa Drakenburg Sail Scale-free

Leonhardt & Blumberg was founded in 1903 and has managed more than 180 vessels, the majority of which were general cargo vessels and bulk carriers. Today the company provides containerships ranging from about 1,500-3,600 TEU capacity. After other vessels were equipped over the years by Pronomar, the Hansa Offenburg and Hansa Drakenburg, both part of the shipper’s 1,700 TEU fleet, were recently outfitted with the ecofriendly MERUS technology. The MERUS ring gives off molecular oscillations disturbing lime scale, rust and bacteria formed in fresh- and seawater lines.

Merus Technology for VOS Paradise

Vroon Offshore Service B.V., an international shipping company with a fleet of approximately 90 offshore vessels, has again trusted in Merus technology, commissioning Pronomar to install four Merus rings on platform supply vessel VOS Paradise this week after sister ship VOS Pace was equipped with this technology at the end of 2015. Vroon Opts for MERUS Technology on a 4th Ship

Vroon Offshore Service B.V. is a diversified international shipping company and is primarily active in and around the North Sea, with a fleet of 90 offshore-vessels. After installing Pronomar - MERUS rings on Vroon sister vessels VOS Sympathy, VOS Sweet and VOS Shine, Pronomar has also equipped VOS Pace with its Pronomar – MERUS rings. The VOS Pace is the first of six PX121-type Platform Supply Vessels, designed by ULSTEIN. The vessel has been constructed at Cosco Guandong Shipyard (China) and is intended for operation in European waters.

New MERUS Rings Aboard River Countess

Uniworld’s river cruise vessel River Countess set sail to cruise the lagoon of Venice and the thereto connected river delta. For doing so in accordance with the standards required for the Uniworld fleet, the vessel was equipped with MERUS rings for the complete domestic water system. Pronomar said it protected various applications on the River Countess by installing the MERUS technology at the hydrophore for the complete cold water system, at the boilers for the warm water system and at the kitchen lines for the kitchen equipment.

Pronomar Tackles Lime Scale Issue on VOS Sweet

Vroon Offshore Services chose Pronomar to equip the Netherlands-flagged VOS Sweet with multiple MERUS rings. Pronomar said it had already outfitted Vroon’s VOS Sympathy, so when the VOS Sweet experienced problems with lime scale (in the piping, the boiler and the pumps), Vroon contacted Pronomar again for its MERUS technology. According to Pronomar, when vessels such as the VOS Sweet experience problems with lime scale, it is a good idea to apply the MERUS technology. The MERUS technology consists of a ring that is placed around the water pipe and emits small oscillations to the water.

More MERUS Rings for MS Rotterdam

Pronomar has installed two additional MERUS rings on board Holland America Line’s MS Rotterdam, this time in the wellness area for the steam generators. The order follows the installation of four MERUS rings in May and June 2014 on the cruise ship at various applications in the kitchen, such as the dishwashers and the piping of the kitchen. Pronomar, ELA Cooperation Continues

In October 2014 Pronomar shared news about its cooperation with German based company ELA Container Offshore GmbH and developing the concept of drying containers. Following a collaboration at Offshore Energy in Amsterdam, the companies team up again for EWEA in Copenhagen, Denmark from March 10-12, 2015. Drying Cabinets Handy On Board Nexus

In 2014, Pronomar equipped Van Oord’s offshore cable laying vessel Nexus with three drying cabinets, each responsible for the drying of eight sets of workwear. Nexus, a 126-meter Damen Offshore Carrier (DOC) 8500 cable laying vessel was delivered to Van Oord in December and is currently being finalized at Damen Shiprepair at Vlissingen, where Van Oord is building and installing the additional cable laying equipment. Uniworld Again Chooses Merus Water Treatment

Pronomar received an order from Uniworld/Global River Cruises GmbH to apply the Pronomar MERUS technology on board of one of its luxurious River Cruise vessels; the River Beatrice. Following good results on previously equipped vessels, Pronomar equipped complete cold water system, complete hot water system, boilers circulation line and kitchen feedpipe applications on the River Beatrice. In the past, Pronomar equipped a number of other vessels of Uniworld with the environment-friendly MERUS technology disturbing lime scale, corrosion and bacteria in water lines, namely the S.S. Pronomar Drying Systems on Statoil Platform

Hertel, a global industrial services company with European roots, headquartered in Rotterdam/NL, recently signed a contract to engineer, design and construct the accommodation on a Statoil platform, to be located in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.
