Ocean Deck Barge Sold
The barge was classed ABS +A1 Barge, Unrestricted Service and built with a 12mm side shell and 16mm bottom and deck plate. Uniform deck load is 15mt/m2.
The 300’ (91.5m) x 90’ 27.46m) x 18’ (5.50m) barge will head for under her new name, Nostag 10. The buyer requested removal of the bin walls prior to delivery.
This is the second newbuild barge that Marcon International of Coupeville, Washington has sold from this shipyard. Marcon acted as sole broker.
To-date this year Marcon has sold 7 ocean deck barges totaling 52,029dwt capacity. Since 1990, when we started closely tracking sales, Marcon has sold 95 ocean deck barges with an aggregate capacity of over 600,000dwt. Sales are pending on several additional vessels and barges with closings expected within two weeks.
