Salvaged Section of Tricolor Catches Fire

A small fire broke out Tuesday evening in the first salvaged section of the Norwegian-flagged carrier, the Tricolor. This section had been delivered to the port of Zeebrugge earlier this week. Belgian fire fighters attended the scene and extinguished the smouldering fire. No casualties were reported, and it is reported that the fire did not pose any environmental threats. The fire on the Tricolor section is not expected to hamper the remainder of the salvage operation, which is being carried out by Combinatie Berging Tricolor. An investigation into the cause of the fire will be conducted.
