AER Supply to Showcase Sewage Treatment Technology

Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

October 7, 2013

AER Supply, an international distributor of marine products, is featuring a cost-effective MEPC-compliant onboard sewage treatment system for the U.S. commercial marine market at the 2013 WorkBoat Show.

AER was named earlier this year as the distributor for Severn Trent De Nora marine wastewater disinfection systems for the Gulf Coast and other regions of the United States.

The Severn Trent De Nora MARINER OMNIPURE Series 55 marine sewage treatment systems are designed specifically to provide cost-effective treatment of gray and black water on small vessels, workboats and yachts. They use proprietary electrolytic disinfection technology that eliminates purchasing, storage and handling of hazardous chemicals normally required with other treatment technologies. They are approved by the U.S. Coast Guard and certified by Bureau Veritas to meet or exceed IMO Resolution MEPC.159 (55) requirements.

Available in three capacities, the MARINER OMNIPURE Series 55 systems consist of an internal electrical control panel, a highly efficient tubular electrolyzer cell and multiple oxidation and dechlorination chambers in a compact bulkhead-mounted unit. The systems can treat up to 2,160 gallons of human wastewater per day, and can accommodate up to 75 persons for black water and 25 persons for a combination of black and gray water.

“The MARINER OMNIPURE system is designed for easy retrofit using the vessel’s installed sewage and seawater pumps and onboard collection/holding tanks,” said Richard Miller, president of AER. “Severn Trent De Nora is a pioneering innovator in this field and is a welcome addition to our growing family of top industry suppliers. No company has more experience in electrolytic disinfection technology.”

Severn Trent De Nora is a joint venture of Severn Trent Services and Industrie De Nora, providing a wide range of water disinfection systems for multiple industry sectors.

In addition to the Severn Trent De Nora water treatment systems, AER Supply and its subsidiary AER Marine Supply will show a full range of marine products from top suppliers including Dometic, Parker SeaRecovery, Parker Racor, Hella, Jabsco, NewMar, Mastervolt, Speich and Steyr Motors, in Booth 3342.
