The Associated Press reported that barge traffic has ceased on the Arkansas River after damage was discovered on a bridge in western Arkansas.
Officials say bridge inspectors will assess the damage and arrange repairs accordingly. Until then, rail traffic will also be diverted until the bridge is fixed.
