Sea Breeze 2015 Kicks off in Odesa

 

Maritime forces from 11 nations kicked off the U.S.-Ukraine co-hosted multinational exercise Sea Breeze 2015 in Odesa, Ukraine and the Black Sea, Sept. 1.

Sea Breeze, now in its 14th iteration, is an annual exercise held in Odesa, Ukraine and the the Black Sea which seeks to enhance interoperability and strengthen regional security.

Vice Adm. James Foggo III, commander, U.S. 6th Fleet commented, "Naval forces are stronger when we operate together with our partners. Eleven nations have gathered here for the sole purpose of increasing our ability to work with each other. This impressive commitment shows our dedication to confront today’s challenges together as one force.”
