Boston Whaler Changes Name, Debuts Boat

The 26 Vigilant was debuted with much interest at the Miami Boat Show. At the end of March, Boston Whaler Commercial & Government Products officially changed its name to Brunswick Commercial & Government Products, a move positioned by the company as a natural evolution towards meeting the ever-changing needs of its customer base.

The move is more than cosmetic, as the company is now responsible for the commercial applicaitons for the entire Brusnwick Boat Group, building safe, long-lasting and dependable platforms for Law Enforcement/Homeland Security, Special Operations/Combat Craft, Fire/Rescue and Workboat applications, but with access to a variety of hulls up to 100 ft. long.

While the name may be different, the company's commitment to high quality and the delivery of outstanding boats has not wavered a bit, as evidenced by the launch of the new 26 Vigilant at the Miami Boat Show.

26 Vigilant

The 26-ft. Vigilant is a high-freeboard, deep-V hull with a pilothouse/cuddy cabin. Its Accutrack hull system has reversed chines and spray rails for a dry, steady ride, a deep-V to slice through chop and waves smoothly and strategically placed running strakes to get up on plane fast and improve fuel economy. With its smooth riding deep-V hull, the 26-ft. Vigilant is designed for work on rough water or where long patrols are the norm. It has a large-capacity (200 gal.) baffled aluminum fuel tank, dry storage, bow access, available heat/air, head and a wide range of other options to configure it for law enforcement, military, rescue or workboat applications.
