Seawork will be celebrating its 20th anniversary with a packed schedule including the Seawork Conference which will once again be offering thought-provoking sessions covering a wide variety of topics.

John Haynes, Maritime Professional of the Year 2016, is running a topical panel discussion titled, ‘Shock Mitigation, International Vibration Directives and the Implications of Brexit’ at 12.15 on Tuesday, June 13. This session’s panel will include Paul Taylor - CEO, SHOXS / Jonathan Young - Director, SCOT SEATS / Julian Morgan - Technical Director, KPM MARINE / Reuben Mills - Director of Engineering, SHOCKWAVE / Jim Taylor - CEO, SKYDEX TECHNOLOGIES.

Haynes said, “This dynamic session looks at how fast craft requirements and expectations are changing for the professional and commercial sectors in the U.K., Europe and the U.S. As the U.K. marine industry considers the implications of Brexit, industry experts will offer insight and answer the hard questions including - what international standards and vibration directives will organizations now need to comply with?”

The U.K. Ministry of Defense (MoD) engages with maritime professionals at Seawork who can attend meet-the-buyer sessions arranged by longstanding supporters the Department for International Trade in order to discuss export and tendering opportunities.

For many years Seawork has welcomed inward international delegations from a diverse range of countries, all of whom attend to explore far-reaching procurement opportunities worth many millions. VIPs have attended Seawork from China, Bahamas, U.S., New Zealand, Italy and Brazil. Seawork 2017 will be no exception, with seven delegations anticipated to attend this year.
