Woodside has completed the acquisition of Tellurian Inc. and its US Gulf Coast Driftwood LNG development opportunity.Woodside has acquired all issued and outstanding Tellurian common stock for approximately $1.00 per share to bring the value of the transaction to approximately $1,200 million.Woodside has also renamed the Driftwood LNG development opportunity Woodside Louisiana LNG.Woodside Louisiana LNG is an under-construction, pre-final investment decision (FID), LNG production and export terminal in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana.

USACE Opens Channel for Commercial Navigation at Monongahela River Locks and Dam 3

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District opened a 100-foot-wide navigation channel for commercial vessels through the center of the dam at Monongahela River Locks and Dam 3 near Elizabeth, Pa. Manson to Perform Maintenance Dredging in Coos Bay

Seattle based dredging and marine construction contractor Manson Construction has been awarded a contract worth more than $9 million to perform maintenance dredging in Coos Bay, Ore.The $9,285,000 firm-fixed-price contract was awarded by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Portland District. Manson was one of two bidders for the project.The dredging work is scheduled to be completed by October 31, 2024.

Manson Construction Names Ray EHS Director

Seattle-based dredging and marine construction contractor Manson Construction announced it has named Forrest Ray as its new director of environmental health and safety, effective January 1, 2023.Ray succeeds Dave Howard, who will retire this Spring after 18 years of service at Manson. Howard will work in an advisory role until his last day, scheduled for March 7, guiding Ray through the transition.Ray, who has worked at Manson since 2011, will continue to be based out of the company's Jacksonville, Fla. office.

Callan Marine's New Dredge General Bradley Launched

Galveston-based dredging and marine construction contractor Callan Marine announced the launch of its newest fleet asset, the 28-inch cutter suction dredge named General Bradley.At 341 feet in length and 52 feet wide, General Bradley will have a maximum digging depth of 60 feet and a dredge pipe diameter of 28 inches. Constructed at Halimar Shipyard in Morgan City, La., the diesel-electric driven General Bradley will be equipped with three ABC 12DZC engines that supply 9,260 horsepower combined.

New Mississippi River Floodwall Planned in Caruthersville

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Memphis District held a groundbreaking ceremony in Caruthersville, Mo., April 3, to celebrate a federally funded project to replace the Caruthersville Mississippi River floodwall.The new floodwall will enhance the safety of more than 135,000 residents, $6.28 billion of property, and $7.5 billion of agriculture.This project will replace approximately 3,000 linear feet of floodwall. The gravity wall sections will be replaced with inverted T-Wall sections and the floodwall will also be raised one foot in height.

TurkStream Gas Conduit Offshore Section Complete

All Aboard for $59m Ferries Project

Steel construction company REIDsteel has completed its phase of works on landmark passenger facilities as part of a £45 million ($59 million) ferry terminal revamp in Portsmouth, U.K. The 130-strong firm was contracted for the project at Gunwharf for ferry operator Wightlink through Southampton-based engineering, procurement and construction contractor Trant Engineering. REIDsteel, based in Dorset, U.K., designed, supplied and erected all steelwork, cladding, external windows and external doors for a two-storey car marshalling deck and a new customer experience building for passengers.

Completed GMS Scirocco Gets first Contract

Gulf Marine Services the provider of advanced self-propelled self-elevating support vessels (SESVs) serving the offshore oil, gas and renewable energy sectors, informed that the newly-built GMS Scirocco has been completed ahead of schedule and under budget and has been awarded its first contract. The vessel will commence a four-month contract (three months firm with a one-month option) in October for an engineering, procurement and construction contractor working for a MENA-based national oil company, with day rates in line with those previously indicated for the region. GMS Scirocco is the second of a new SESV design, the Mid-Size Class, to be added to the Group's fleet and a third, GMS Sharqi, will be delivered in Q1 2016.

Harkand won a multi-million contract with Maersk Oil North Sea Ltd for the provision of DSV services in the North Sea region. The 12-month contract will be serviced by Harkand’s two DSVs, the Harkand Da Vinci and Harkand Atlantis, supported by project management and engineering from Harkand’s Aberdeen office. The contract covers well tie-ins, structure installation, piling, flexible flowline lay, flexible riser installation, pre-commissioning, riser recovery, decommissioning and general inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) work.

Essar Projects Bags $54 mi Maiden Contract from Saudi Aramco

The Hydrocarbon SBU of Essar Projects, a global EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) contractor, has secured its maiden contract from Saudi Aramco, the national petroleum and natural gas Company of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The USD 54-million EPC project involves the upgradation of a Crude Stabilization Unit at Aramco’s Abqaiq Plant, in Shaybah, one of the largest oilfields in the world. The scope of work entails engineering, procurement and construction of a crude tank, replacement of crude pumps and associated civil, piping, electrical and instrumentation facilities. The project is scheduled to be completed in 29 months. Essar is already executing five other projects in the region in the hydrocarbon sector.
