Inmarsat NexusWave Exceeds 1,000 Vessel Orders

Inmarsat Maritime, a Viasat company, has announced that orders for NexusWave have exceeded 1,000 vessels. Following months of development and testing, the service has gained momentum in its first six months on the market with global customers adopting NexusWave for their fleets. Early adopters include “K” Line, Anthony Veder, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Solvang, Sallaum Lines, and Parlevliet & van der Plas Group.Inmarsat’s NexusWave brings together Global Xpress (GX) Ka-band, low-Earth orbit (LEO), coastal LTE, and resilient L-band services into a seamless, fully managed solution.

Inmarsat Names Pulsar as First NexusWave Reseller in the Med

Later this month Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“K” LINE) will conduct a trial of Inmarsat Maritime's new bonded network service NexusWave on “K” LINE's fleet. “In recent years, there has been an increase in data transmission to enhance safety and quality. As such, we require connectivity services that are fast, reliable and global. Furthermore, high-speed internet connectivity will greatly contribute to reforms to onboard workstyles and automated ship navigation," said Akihiro Fujimaru, Managing Executive Officer of “K” LINE.

Inmarsat Expects Asia Pacific Coverage to Double

Inmarsat’s I-6 F1 satellite has connected to new ground stations in Perth and Merredin, Western Australia, as it aims to provide an upgrade in communications availability for the region.I-6 F1 launched in December 2021 and spent seven months travelling to geostationary orbit above the Atlantic. The spacecraft is now at its final orbital slot above the Indian Ocean, and the company will begin increasing its capacity and transition services to the new satellite throughout 2023,

"Koselig" is a Norwegian adjective used to describe situations that give a feeling of comfort, warmth, and relaxation. The NorShipping exhibition and conference, one of the largest in northern Europe, could definitely be described as koselig.
