OEG has expanded its offshore wind vessel fleet with the delivery of Fulmar, a new multi-purpose crew transfer vessel (CTV), following successful sea trials.The vessel will operate in U.K. waters and has secured its first charter in Scotland, supporting offshore construction work at the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm. Singapore-based shipbuilder Strategic Marine has secured an order for a next-generation crew transfer vessel (CTV) from OEG Renewables, part of the OEG Energy Group, destined to operate in Taiwan.The vessel, named Wey Feng, will be the fourth StratCat 27 that Strategic Marine is building for OEG Group.The Wey Feng is a BMT-designed, 27-meter aluminum catamaran powered by dual Caterpillar C32 1450 hp marine engines. Danish shipowner CBED has secured a one-year contract extension with Hughes Subsea, an OEG Renewables company, for its Wind Evolution commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV).Only six months into the Wind Evolution’s first contract with Hughes Subsea, the charter has now been extended one year and will run until January 2026.Earlier this year, CBED announced the first project for the newly acquired CSOV, Wind Evolution, with Hughes Subsea.Since then, Wind Evolution has been assigned to the offshore wind farm, Dogger Bank in U.K.

U.K. shipbuilder Manor Marine, an OEG group company, announced it has built a new cargo-carrying pontoon for the Ascension Island Government.Construction commenced in February 2023, and the pontoon has been delivered on schedule.The 17-meter self-propelled barge is commissioned for shipping to and use in the Ascension Island waters.Previous pontoons fabricated for the Ascension Island Government at the Manor Marine shipyard were also commissioned for the same purpose, the builder said.

Danish shipowner CBED has signed a contract with Hughes Subsea, a subsidiary of OEG Energy, for Wind Evolution’s first offshore project, just three weeks after acquiring the service operation vessel (SOV).With the new walk-to-work contract, CBED has secured full activity for Wind Evolution SOV until early first quarter of 2025, with two additional one-year options to extend the project contract.OEG Energy’s Hughes Subsea specializes in subsea services across the offshore oil and gas, renewable energy, and other sectors.CBED will take delivery of Wind Evolution end of March 2024.

UK-based Manor Marine UK Ltd has secured a contract with Mainprize Offshore to build a second offshore wind farm service vessel, following the win of the building contract for the MO8 in 2021. Cargo-carrying unit, OEG Offshore, announced its gain of OSCA Environmental Services Ltd., saying the acquisition expands its international reach in the Caspian region. OEG has acquired OSCA's 2,500-unit stock has multiple bases including: Baku, Azerbaijan and Aktau, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan.
