SGRE Wins Hai Long 2 OWP

Spanish global renewable energy company Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) has been selected as the preferred supplier of turbines for the 300MW Hai Long 2 offshore wind project in Taiwan.The agreement is subject to contract and final investment decision from the consortium partners, Canadian independent power producer Northland Power Inc. and Taiwan-based developer Yushan Energy.The 300 MW Hai Long 2 offshore wind power plant project was awarded through the 2018 grid allocation mechanism in Taiwan. The project site is located approximately 50 kilometers off the coast of Changhua County.

Babcock Wins Multiple Orders

CDWE Wins Taiwanese OWF Gig

Taiwanese marine joint venture (JV) company CSBC-DEME Wind Engineering (CDWE) has signed two contracts for the transport and installation of foundations and turbines at the 300MW Zhong Neng offshore wind farm (OWF).The JV between Taiwanese outfit CSBC and Belgian contractor DEME Offshore will aim to deliver the project, owned by China Steel Corporation (CSC), in 2024.The 300 MW Zhong Neng offshore wind farm, developed by China Steel Corporation, is planned for completion in 2024.

MAN Cryo to Supply LNG Fuel-Gas System

MAN Energy Solutions said that its marine LNG fuel-gas-system manufacturer MAN Cryo has been contracted to supply an LNG fuel-gas supply system for Norwegian shipowner, Egil Ulvan Rederi newbuild.According to MAN,  the LNG fuel-gas system will be supplied for a ‘multipurpose palletized cargo and refrigerated vessel, also known as a LoLo (Lift-on/Lift-off).The vessel is designed by Førde, Norway designer, Multi Maritime, that already counts a number of LNG-powered vessels in its portfolio.

Parkland Acquires Tropic Oil Company

Calgary-based fuel and lubricant business firm Parkland Fuel Corp. announced that it is acquiring all of the issued and outstanding equity interests of U.S.-based Tropic Oil Co. SeaBird Takes Delivery of Seismic Vessel from CGG

SeaBird Exploration announced it is in an exclusive process to acquire the seismic vessel Geowave Voyager and certain seismic equipment from Exploration Vessel Resources II AS, a wholly owned subsidiary of CGG S.A., for a cash consideration of $17 million.SeaBird intends to carry out a private placement of new shares in the company raising gross proceeds of minimum NOK 80 million and maximum of NOK 120 million.
