Nakilat Transitions LNG Carrier to In-house Management

Qatari shipping company Nakilat said it has assumed full ship management and operations of Q-Flex liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier Al Kharaitiyat from Shell Trading and Shipping Company Limited with effect from Wednesday, as part of the second phase of its planned fleet management transition program.With a cargo carrying capacity of 216,300 cubic meters, Al Kharaitiyat is wholly-owned by Nakilat and chartered by Qatargas. Shell, Qatargas Sign LNG Deal for Kuwait

The world’s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) producer Qatargas has signed a new, long-term LNG sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with Shell to deliver 1 million tons per annum of LNG to Kuwait, commencing this year.Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, the Minister of State for Energy Affairs said, “We are pleased to announce this new long term agreement between Qatargas and Shell for the supply of LNG to the State of Kuwait, following the recent agreement signed between Qatar Petroleum and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation.

Qatargas Delivers LNG Cargo to Indian Terminal

Doha-based liquefied natural gas (LNG) producer Qatargas has supplied a commissioning LNG cargo for India's newest LNG receiving terminal, Mundra.The cargo was loaded in Ras Laffan on 17 January 2020 on the Q-Flex LNG vessel, Murwab, with an overall cargo carrying capacity of 216,000 cubic meters. Nakilat Posts 10.5% Surge in 9 Month's Net Profit

Petrobangla Gets 1st Q-Flex LNG cargo from Qatargas

Qatargas made its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo delivery (LNG) on a Q-Flex vessel to the Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) named ‘Excellence’ and known as Moheshkali LNG Terminal (MLNG), located offshore Bangladesh.According to a press release from the Qatargas Operating Company, the cargo, aboard Qatargas-chartered ‘Al Thumama’, was loaded at Ras Laffan on 4th September and delivered to MLNG on 20th September 2019. Rystad Energy expects LNG greenfield investment in 2019 to reach almost $103 billion, which will be the biggest investment year for the burgeoning industry to date.A total of 33 million tpa of liquefaction capacity and $29 billion of Capex has been sanctioned so far this year, from Golden Pass LNG (US), Cheniere’s Sabine Pass T6 (US) and Anadarko’s Area 1 in Mozambique. Chinese Buyers Leave US LNG

Chinese buyers have avoided US LNG projects even before the tariffs hiked to 25%, said a report by  Rystad Energy.Despite the Chinese tariffs, there is still appetite for US LNG from other countries.
