Germany to Get New Qatari LNG flows Through QatarEnergy, ConocoPhillips Deal

Oil Tanker Quarantined in Antwerp After Crew Tests Positive for COVID-19

The Belgian port of Antwerp has quarantined a Maltese-flagged oil tanker until at least July 4 after more than half of its crew tested positive for COVID-19, the port authority said on Thursday.The Minerva Oceania was being held at the port's Leopold dock after 15 of its 26-person crew had returned positive tests, a port spokeswoman said in an emailed response.Two of the crew members who tested positive were in hospital but their condition was not serious, she said. The other crew were remaining on board and those with COVID-19 self-isolating in separate cabins.

Fully Laden LNG Tankers Sit Idle Off Indian Ports after Force Majeure

Qatargas Delivers LNG Cargo to Indian Terminal

Doha-based liquefied natural gas (LNG) producer Qatargas has supplied a commissioning LNG cargo for India's newest LNG receiving terminal, Mundra.The cargo was loaded in Ras Laffan on 17 January 2020 on the Q-Flex LNG vessel, Murwab, with an overall cargo carrying capacity of 216,000 cubic meters. It arrived at Mundra terminal on 22 January 2020.Mundra is the second LNG terminal that Qatargas helped commission in India within the past year. It followed an earlier commissioning cargo which was delivered by the Company to the Ennore LNG receiving terminal, near the southern Indian city of Chennai, in February 2019.The Mundra terminal is located in Adani Ports and Special Economic zone in the Kutch district of the western Indian state of Gujarat.

Qatar Eyes LNG Top Spot

Qatar is eyeing liquefied natural gas (LNG) top spot as it primes 64% output boost, said Wood Mackenzie.Qatar Petroleum (QP) announced that it will boost output from Qatar LNG by 64% - from 77 million tonnes per annum (tpa) at present to 126 million tpa by 2027 – following a successful appraisal of the North Field’s onshore extension, near Ras Laffan Industrial City.Liam Kelleher, from  Wood Mackenzie’s gas and LNG team said: “QP had already been targeting an increase to 110 million tpa, via the four 8 million tpa megatrains at the North Field Expansion (NFE) project."This latest announcement will add a further two 8 million tpa trains

Qatar Ups LNG Production by 64% to 126 MTPA by 2027

Qatar Petroleum has announced that it will raise Qatar’s LNG production capacity to 126 million tons per annum (mtpa) by 2027, representing an increase of 64% from the current 77 mtpa.The announcement was made by Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, the Minister of State for Energy Affairs, the President and CEO of Qatar Petroleum, at a press conference held in Doha, during which he also announced that new studies have revealed that the North Field’s productive layers extend well into Qatari land in Ras Laffan, paving the way for a new LNG production project in the north of Qatar.Al-Kaabi said: “During the past two years, Qatar Petroleum worked diligently to determine the degree to which the North Field extends towards the south west

QP Begins VLSFO Bunkering at Ras Laffan Port

State-owned oil company Qatar Petroleum announced the commencement of Very Low Sulfur Fuel Oil (VLSFO) bunker supply operations at Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC) Port.The VLSFO marine fuel offering has been initiated in advance of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) 2020 regulation for a 0.50% global Sulfur limit for marine fuels which will come into effect 1st January 2020.Qatar Petroleum, in conjunction with Qatar Fuel (Woqod), initiated bunkering services in Qatar in June 2017 with the importation of its maiden HFO cargo (RMG 380 CST 3.5% Sulfur) in order to cater for the bunkering needs of both Qatargas’ LNG fleet and other vessels calling to Ras Laffan and the region.From June 2017 through August 2019

Qatargas Delivers LNG Cargo to Belgium

Qatargas Operating Company Limited delivered the first cargo of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) on a Q-Max vessel to Zeebrugge LNG Terminal in Belgium, marking the first discharge of a Q-Max LNG vessel at this terminal.The world's largest liquefied natural gas company announced in a media release that the cargo, which was loaded at the Ras Laffan terminal in Qatar on 22nd June 2019, arrived on board the Q-Max vessel, 'Al Dafna' on 22nd July 2019.The delivery also celebrates yet another multi-terminal delivery for Qatargas bringing the total number of multi-port deliveries undertaken by the Company in 2019 to eight deliveries, it said."This operation saw the first LNG parcel discharged in Zeebrugge and a second parcel at the South Hook LNG terminal in the United Kingdom

Qatargas Delivers First Q-Flex LNG Cargo

The world’s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) producer Qatargas Operating Company Limited (Qatargas) has delivered the first LNG cargo onboard a Q-Flex vessel to Greece’s Revithoussa LNG terminal.Doha-based global energy operator said in a press release that  this is for the first time that a Q-Flex LNG vessel has called at the terminal ever since it underwent an expansion drive late last year.The cargo, which was loaded at the Ras Laffan Terminal in Qatar on 3rd July 2019, arrived at the Revithoussa Terminal on board the Q-Flex vessel, 'Al Gharrafa', on 20th July 2019.The Q-Flex cargo is part of yet another multi-port delivery executed by Qatargas.

First LNG Cargo Aboard Q-Flex Carrier in Turkey

GAC Handles First Tanker at New LNG Terminal

GAC has handled the first tanker to berth at the newly constructed Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal inside Kamarajar Port, Ennore in Chennai, India. The Marshall Islands-flagged LNG carrier ‘LNG/C Golar Snow’ was carrying the first consignment of 78,037m³ of LNG from Ras Laffan in Qatar for the commissioning of the terminal.Agency operations were overseen by Captain Srinivasan Sethumadhavan, General Manager of Shipping Services at GAC’s Chennai Office, who is optimistic about
