Sea1 Offshore Finds Work for its PSV off Brazil

Sea1 Offshore, formerly Siem Offshore, has secured a new contract for its platform supply vessel (PSV) Sea1 Atlas.The contract for Sea1 Atlas PSV is in Brazil and has a duration of three years, along with six-month option at market terms.The start of operations is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.Sea1 Atlas is a 4,700 dwt, 87.9-meter-long STX PSV 4700 vessels built in 2013.The total firm contract backlog for Sea1 Offshore is now $743 million, and $599 million in options, the company said.

Aurora Offshore Welcomes First of Three Sea1 High-End Subsea Vessels

Norwegian vessel management and operations services provider Aurora Offshore, pat of Borealis Group, has welcomed the first of three high-end subsea vessels to the fleet as part of vessels transfer agreed with Sea1 Offshore.The transferred ship, Siem Stingray, is a state-of-the-art subsea vessel built in 2014 and has a 250t AHC Crane, 1300 m2 Deck Area and Accommodation for 110 People.The change of management has been completed between the vessel’s work scope, which is on long term contract with Subsea7.Earlier in January, Aurora Offshore welcomed Siem Pearl and Siem Challenger to itsfleet.

Sea1 Offshore, formerly Siem Offshore, has entered into shipbuilding contracts with Cosco Shipping (Qidong) Offshore for two new offshore energy support vessels.Based on ST-245 design, the vessels will have capabilities to serve both oil and gas and renewable energy markets.The vessels will be equipped with some of the most fuel-efficient solutions in the market, according to Sea1 Offshore.Generators, battery packages and thruster configuration are fine-tuned and include the latest technology available.The vessels are methanol ready and the generators can run on 100% biofuel.

Sea1 Offshore Secures Work for AHTS Fleet in Australia

Sea1 to Manage Viking Supply Ships' AHTS Fleet

Sweden-based Viking Supply Ships on Tuesday announced plans to outsource the management of its six anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels to Sea1 Offshore, based in Norway.The management agreements are scheduled to be completed in October 2024, subject to final documentation and required approvals, the company said.The six AHTS vessels include Magne Viking, Odin Viking, Loke Viking, Njord Viking, Brage Viking and Andreas Viking, all with ice class notations and built from 2011 through 2013.

Siem Offshore has changed its name to Sea1 Offshore following an ownership change that saw the company's founder and chairman exit the Norwegian offshore support vessel (OSV) firm.Kristian Siem, longtime leader of Siem Offshore, stepped away earlier this year after reaching a deal to acquire nine vessels in exchange for his 35% stake in the company.The name has been formally registered in the Cayman Islands Registrar of Companies and change officially took effect May 7, 2024.

BIO-UV Group has received an order from SIEM Ship Management to supply its BIO-SEA Ballast Water Treatment Systems for a trio of SIEM-managed car carriers. The order, for retrofit installation to the Siem Copernicus, Siem Curie and Siem Socrates, is the latest in a series of deliveries of BIO-SEA B-Series equipment for installation onboard around a dozen SIEM Ship Management reefer vessels since 2021.In this latest order, BIO-UV Group’s maritime division will provide B02 BIO-SEA BWTS units with a medium to high flow rate of 300-cu.m.

The Norwegian offshore vessel Siem Offshore said Monday it had secured a contract extension for the AHTS Siem Topaz with a local client in Taiwan. The contract will start in direct continuation of the current contract, for a firm period reaching into Q4 2024. Siem Offshore's AHTS Vessels Win Work in Australia

Norwegian offshore vessel operator Siem Offshore has secured a medium-term contract for two AHTS vessels.Siem Offshore said Tuesday that the contracts were for its 2010-built Siem Aquamarine and 2011-built Siem Amethyst AHTS vessels.The company did not say who the client was exactly, however, it did say that the vessels would work for "a major operator" in Australia.The contracts, of an undisclosed value, are expected to start in late 2023.According to the vessels' AIS, as found on MarineTraffic, the Siem Aquamarine left Singapore last Friday, and is en route to Dampier, Australia.The Siem Amethyst is currently in Malaysia.
