Marlink unveiled new cost-saving enhancements to its industry-leading account management tool, MarlinkOnline, available exclusively to Marlink customers.

MarlinkOnline is a secure Web-based tool allowing both maritime and land-based customers to more directly manage their Marlink communication accounts by permitting authorized users to review and analyze their monthly invoices and daily account usage, as well as print call records and invoice details. With the launch of MarlinkOnline's new, easy-to-use interface tools, maritime customers can select and view invoices or call data for individual vessels or for their entire fleet with information that is updated every 24 hours. Both ship and shore-based customers now have the ability to manage their communications costs in greater detail enabling them to improve their overall operational efficiencies.

Another significant enhancement to MarlinkOnline is the WebDial feature that enables users to initiate voice calls online via the Web. Marlink's WebDial permits the user to direct calls to any terrestrial or cellular phone and to determine the account to be billed for the call. By using this feature, Marlink estimates that customers can experience cost-savings of as much as 25 percent for calls initiated through WebDial.

"Marlink is committed to being the first to bring new, cost-efficient satellite communications to all of its worldwide maritime and land mobile customers," said Søren Einshøj, managing director of Marlink. "When we first launched MarlinkOnline in late 2003, we knew that we had developed one of the most versatile and powerful cost-management tools in the industry. Now, by continuing to add features that can help cut communications expenses, Marlink is demonstrating this commitment to all of its customers." MarlinkOnline is a password protected site providing customers detailed and easy-to-follow instructions to enable access to their account information. Available originally in six languages including English, Dutch, German, Greek, Norwegian, and Spanish, online instructions are now available in two additional languages: Chinese and Japanese. A Russian version is planned for the near future.

Using MarlinkOnline, customers can set up an account that provides them online access to billing information, analysis, and a range of services available from all of Marlink's multi-partner operators.
