MSHIPCO introduce the Mistral USV a smaller sized craft with the same great stability, payload and patented M-hull Technology® of its predecessor 'Stiletto' combined with state-of-the-art C2 control and modular cargo handling system. The company says that its Mistral USV is more than just an Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) sentry, it’s a modular unmanned “naval truck” designed specifically for hauling and towing large payloads with a simple, user-friendly control interface.

With the new Horizon MF the German navigation system manufacturer Raytheon Anschütz launches a new generation gyro compass which can be operated free of maintenance. Horizon MF is Raytheon Anschütz’ new strap down compass system which uses Hemispherical Resonator Gyros (HRG) to measure angular rates for heading calculation. In a strapped-down system angular rate gyros and accelerometers are not gimballed but mounted stationary in a housing.

Synapsis for German Containership Newbuildings
The German navigation system integrator Raytheon Anschütz was selected by the German-based shipowner NSC to supply the latest generation of the IMO-certified Synapsis Integrated Navigation System (INS) to a series of 9,000 TEU Containership newbuildings. The new containerships are built by Korea's Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction’s Subic Shipyard in Subic Bay, Philippines and are scheduled for entering service in 2014.

Diesel-Electric Units Prepared for Navy’s AGOR Project
During most of 2012 Cummins Northwest was busy with the procurement of the various subsystems and assembly of the diesel-electric units for the two Ocean Class Auxiliary General Purpose Oceanographic Research (AGOR) vessels building at Dakota Creek Shipyards. The company delivered the first four-unit ship set in January of this year. Seattle-based Guido Perla & Associates, Inc. has done the design work for the two vessels.
3M Novec Gas Sea-Fire Extinguishers Debut at Seawork
U.K. independent marine safety equipment supplier Ocean Safety will debut the latest range of fire extinguishers from Sea-Fire at Seawork. The range, which was introduced earlier in the year, is the 3M Novec 1230 NDF and NFG Series. Novec introduces a safer gas which is less harmful than other types of gas if used in enclosed compartments such as small engine rooms. Sea-Fire's pre-engineered NFD and NFG systems are automatically heat-activated, using 3M Novec 1230 Fire Protection Fluid.
Rolls-Royce Deliver Naval USV & RHIB Launch/Recovery Systems
Rolls-Royce has recently delivered 2 launch & recovery systems for unmanned surface vehicles (USV) & manned Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIBs) to an international navy.
