Winchmann-Hansen, Pres. Global Marine Energy

Global Marine Systems announced Kim Wichmann-Hansen as President of Global Marine Energy, a division focused on Subsea Electrical infrastructure for the Offshore Wind and Energy Transmission markets, as well as Subsea Umbilical and Cable Transportation & Installation for the Offshore Oil & Gas industry.

His extensive experience in marine, offshore construction and the wind industry makes him an ideal leader for us in this market.”

Over the course of his career Wichmann-Hansen has held leadership positions at companies such as Subsea7, Vestas and Cool Sorption Thailand Ltd., where he has held global positions as Functional Director, Managing Director and Vice President in Denmark, UK and Thailand, in addition to a number of fiduciary position at board level. In the Offshore Wind industry he has led negotiation and implementation of jobs like North Hoyle Wind Farm, Scroby Sands Wind Farm & Barrow Offshore Wind Farm. Mr. Wichmann-Hansen is a Danish national and has a formal leadership education, as Officer in J. Lauritzen as Marine Engineer.
